Requirements and Preparation
For networks requiring network based authentication or certificates for WiFi connections, see our Advanced Robot WiFi Networking Guide.
When getting started, a help desk ticket will need to be submitted with your local organizations IT department. Please include the following table of requirements, network security requirements, and unsupported configurations.
Requirements:
See How-to Connect your Robot to 5GHz WiFi for additional instructions if only 5Ghz WiFi is available. Network Security Requirements:
If a network firewall is not able to use a wildcard for *.robokind.us, the specific DNS names are: downloads.robokind.us, auth.robokind.us, data.robokind.us, cdn-api.robokind.us, and d23kggeguwanja.cloudfront.net | E-mail requirements:
Unsupported Configurations:
Some of these configurations may be possible, however given the wide range of networking configurations, RoboKind cannot provide detailed troubleshooting support in these cases. |
Basic Robot setup for 10/100 Ethernet:
Connect an Ethernet cord to the robot.
Power the robot on.
If the IP address is not visible on the home screen, see How-to Show the IP Address of the Robot
Basic robot setup for WPA or WPA2 with a password:
Your robot will tell you if it has successfully connected to the WiFi and will automatically run a diagnostic test. Allow this test to complete.
