The RoboKind Central 3.0 web portal supports loading data files in the IMS Global OneRoster1.1 format; a format which is supported by many student information systems.

  • If exporting from a large system, ensure that your system is configured to export only those schools and students who will participate in RoboKind curriculum.

  • If your systems do not support an export in this format, then it is recommended that you enter administrators, teachers, and students directly on our web portal directly since many validation errors can occur when these files are manually constructed.

Be sure to import the data at the correct level in your organization:

Using the Upload Roster button will import the roster data at the top level of the organization.

There is no rollback option to roll back the effects of an import, so be sure you understand the intended organization structure before using this option.

If you have organization(s) defined under your top level organization and wish to load a data file there, then use the “…” button at the correct level in the organization and choose migrate roster.

The key files we will import from this file include:

  • Orgs: (optional) For a school district, there will usually be one organization for a district, and then one org for each building/campus in which RoboKind products will be used. For individual institutions, only one entry is needed.

  • Users: We will import rows labeled as student, teacher, and administrator.

The following are not presently utilized during the import process:

  • AcademicSessions: Not imported.

    • Enrollments, Courses, and Classes: These are not imported as part of this process. Classrooms and their user assignments will need to be created manually after the bulk import.

  • Demographics: Not imported.

  • No labels
