RoboKind System Requirements
robots4autism:
Each teacher will need 2 iPads, one for the teacher, and one to be shared among students.
iPad’s must support iOS version 12 or later, see details at RoboKind Companion App Installation and Update Guide (iPads).
Note that RoboKind is currently in Beta for RoboKind web companion, which may replace the need for one or both tablets. How-to Use the RoboKind Web Companion
There may be situations where students would be distracted by having a computer rather than a tablet available to them during lessons; in these cases we still recommend that an iPad be used for the student experience.
The web companion application is tested on the latest versions of Chrome and Edge on Windows and Mac.
Support for other browsers / older versions / or running from other device types varies. Initial support can be tested by visiting companion.robokind.com and verifying that the page loads to the facilitator/student selection page without errors.
For students, the recommended screen sizes would be 10” (preferred) or 8”, and our application is presented in a horizontal orientation.
